Hi, I'm Tee, a young lady aspiring to be her best self. This is my first blog so the truth is that I don't really know what I'm doing. I am a graduate and I have completed my compulsory service to my country but I am yet to get a job. So this is just my own way of keeping busy. This blog is just going to be about natural hair and also my natural hair journey.
I returned natural not because I wanted to follow a trend, I didn't even know that a lot of people were going natural at that time. I was just sick of all the chemical burns and not seeing any growth. I was sick of my hair PERIOD. The initial plan was to cut my hair and leave it low. My hair had been relaxed for as long as I could remember and that was because I saw my hair as 'stubborn' and 'unmanageable'. But when it started growing out I couldn't bring myself to cut it so I decided to keep it.
I later discovered that a lot of people had already returned natural for years and I was so happy because I had a place to learn about my hair and how to care for it. I've been natural for 2 years and 5 months and I must say that the journey has been really enlightening and exciting. It has been a period of meeting, accepting, getting to know and loving my hair so much that my friends say I'm obsessed with it. This blog is my way of sharing my hair journey, the things I've learnt on the way as well as tips on loving and taking care of natural hair and all the DIY treatments, do's and don'ts. Overall I'll be talking a lot about Natural hair. I hope this will help you as much as it has helped me.
